Moon Signs
At equivalent importance as the sun in astrology, there is the moon. Although the moon expresses the signs differently than the sun, so here are some descriptions of the moon signs.
Aries Moon: These individuals are definitely their own individuals, they fearlessly go after who they know they are, or they go out to find that out. Aries moons emotions wash over them like violent waves, they feel things extremely and they can get very emotional. These people often have some sort of inner child to them, they like to keep some of their childhood self alive within themselves. In love Aries moons feel it as intense and physical, and they want to be helpful to their partner and have their partner put that effort back into the relationship. Aries moon can tend to fall into a habit of running away from their relationships though, sometimes because they like the chase but mostly to avoid getting hurt. Aries moons I’ve found often are very fond of their mother, but they keep their independence in their motherly relation clear. To feel secure Aries Moons need to be able to assert their needs when necessary, and these needs may be to have some control over themselves and their life, they don’t like other people telling them what to do. These people give off a good illusion of being very open when really they aren’t, they also can be quite the flirt sometimes.
Taurus Moon: The moon is very happy in the sign of Taurus, these people are full of love and care, and they know how to treat themselves to make themselves feel better when necessary. These people feel a lot, but are often good at managing their emotions in a non-destructive way. These people feel very good when they’re senses are being stimulated, such as if they’re eating something nice or listening to good music. These people feel their emotions very deeply, although they often keep them to themselves. Their emotions sometimes have physical manifestations such as blushing when flustered or nauseous when worried. These people love love, they love giving it and receiving it, love is very important to them. It’s intimate, it’s sensual, and it’s caring. They’re very good at romance. These people often have a relationship with their mother that is good but their may be some Venusian tensions, that of who gets to be the more pleasing feminine. There is also a strive for independence from the mother, but a lot of her values are kept. These people find security in their values, and they value themselves and even if they aren’t the most confident they do definitely have self worth.
Gemini Moon: Gemini Moons find it hard to really understand their emotions, they feel a lot but they don’t show it because they don’t understand it and if they can’t rationalize it they don’t know how to talk about it. This is a very knowledge-driven sign after all, and they love to share their knowledge but they find difficulty in sharing anything else. But when they do need to express their emotions they often do so by talking about it, and talking through it, rather than having large emotional crying spells. Gemini moons often feel most comfortable when socializing, or when learning or doing activities such as reading or writing. For Gemini Moons, love is something that takes over their mind, they find themselves daydreaming about the idea of love a lot, although often it is just the idea they are caught up with and they find it hard to make that idea a reality. Gemini Moons often have a mother who really encouraged them to go out and learn, but possibly also one that was constantly distracted and didn’t have much time to put into caring for them. Gemini Moons can often be very social, but also very nosy, but just as they are nosy do they overshare!
Cancer Moon: The Moon is at home in the sign of Cancer. These individuals are very caring and have a warm motherly aura to them. They are good at making sure stability and a safe “home” (metaphorical or literal) stays even during change. While these people feel a lot, and they feel deeply and are quite emotional and moody, they are often good art hiding this with Cancers crab’s outer shell. When it comes to love Cancer moons find that love feels like wanting to give and receive lots of emotional care and attention. Getting attention, and putting time into relationships is important to them. When it comes to their relationship with the mother, it is often a good and caring one with Cancer moons, they may highly admire their mother and look up to them as a role model. Cancer moons feel most secure when all their needs are being met, these being to know they’re taken care for, and their efforts to take care of others are being appreciated. These people can sometimes be possessive, although this is just out of their need for security and to know you’re safe and close to them.
Leo Moon: These people need a lot of attention, or just even a lot of love. These are very generous people, although sometimes a bit pretentious. Emotions can be very dramatic for Leo Moons, and they can display them in sometimes even melodramatic ways. Leo moons view love as like a spark or firework, like a passionate flame. But they somewhat see it through rose-colored glasses. It’s especially lovely to them. Leo moons have a good amount of security within themselves, they’re can be confident, have a good self worth, and be sure of their values. But sometimes they may also rely too much on their relations with others for their self worth, they may feel like they need validation of themselves. These people hate being ignored, and they can be really self-indulgent in one way or another. These people may tend to be very self-expressive, especially of their emotions, these are quite the creative individuals. These are very playful people, they love fun. These are very loyal partners, friends, and family members. They get attached and devoted. These people often have a relationship with their mother where their mother encouraged self-expression. These people are often quite the open book.
Virgo Moon: Virgo Moons tend to be very self-critical and they worry easily, but they also strive for self-improvement and to help those they care about. This is a very caring and devoted moon sign. Virgo moons initially find love to be scary and hard to approach but once they’re in it they feel comforted and like they can trust you and they try to be supportive as they can. Virgo Moons, as all earth moons do, often find that their emotions can physically manifest, whether that simply be crying when say or getting butterflies when excited. This is also a very sensual moon sign, and they love physical affection and especially giving physical affection. These people feel that they must be valued for all the effort they put into serving others, but often times they forget to value themselves. This is a very inhibited moon sign due to their easily anxious nature, and they may be more cautious about opening up to people. Virgo moons often feel most comfortable and secure when they are doing activities such as cleaning, reading or writing, helping those close to them, or when their engaging in a routine they have. Routine and a cleanly living space are very helpful to a virgo moon’s emotional needs and nature. Virgo Moons often had a mother who expected a lot of them, who practically expected perfection and who expected good academic achievement. Even as a child, Virgo moons are often mature for their age.
Libra Moon: Libra moons, as all air moons can, sometimes disconnect from their emotions. Their emotions are still their and they’re quite strong in a Libra moon, but the Libra moon isn’t always trying to connect with them. Libra Moons are often quite the romantics and a lot of their emotions come out in their social interactions. Libra Moons really put a lot of care into their relationships, and they feel love as a deep bond that also has a lighter joyful side to it, but it’s also a deep commitment for them, and sometimes it becomes hard for them to make the choice to really fully love you. Libra Moons often feel most secure and safe when they are around those they know care about them, Libra moons also often have a great appreciation of art or fashion or poetry or something along those lines. Libra moons may have had a very loving and friendly relationship with their mother, or on the other hand they could have had one with Venusian conflicts of who gets to be the more pleasing feminine energy. These people can easily become emotionally dependent on others, and sometimes they can be a bit of a people-pleaser. But they’re also very friendly and diplomatic.
Scorpio Moon: Scorpio Moons can find themselves having very deep and transformative emotions. They feel their emotions a lot, sometimes to an uncomfortable extent. While being quite the secretive moon sign, these people actually do need quite a bit of attention, although they won’t admit it. Thus this moon sign if prone to easily getting jealous or possessive. Scorpio moons feel love as a deep intense emotion that helps drive them, it helps them transform themselves. They often have a fear of rejection or abandonment. I find that these individuals often had a really close bond with their mother, but she might have been very intense with them. Scorpio Moons often feel most secure when they are around the few people they could trust with their life, or when they’re in an environment where they can easily sense the mood of the situation and people. While Scorpio Moons are really connected to their emotions, they may be too intense that they try to reject them, rather than transforming through them.
Sagittarius Moon: This moon sign’s emotions are quite restless, they feel a lot within a short time span. These are also really warm hearted individuals, they’re very friendly and fun to be around, they’re humorous and affectionate. Despite their affection though, they’re quite independent and they ned their freedom from those around them. In love, these individuals feel it as an adventure, a new experience that opens up their mind to new emotions.These people often had a relationship with their mother where there was a lot of independence, they we often left to explore the world on their own and come to their own discoveries, probably contributing to Sagittarius Moon’s adventurous nature. I’ve found that this moon sign really loves airports and traveling, and they often feel most comfortable when they are traveling or learning something or experiencing something new. This moon sign is very honest about how they’re feeling, and they’re emotions can often be very overwhelming, but they still often keep and optimistic approach to life.
Capricorn Moon: This moon sign is very strict with themselves, while they feel their emotions thoroughly, they don’t allow themselves to open this up to anyone besides those they can really trust. These people are very mature about their emotions, likely because they were taught to be extra mature by their parents. This is a very self-reliant moon sign, but they’re also very dependable and loyal. In love, Capricorn moons feel love as being secure and committed, but also fun and exciting. Capricorn moons may have had a very traditional relationship with their mother where she was strict and always pushed them to be really obedient and productive. This moon sign may be more prone to being insecure than other moon signs, but they can also have a lot of self confidence if they work for it.
Aquarius Moon: Aquarius Moons feel a lot, but emotions are rapidly changing and they easily disconnect from almost all of them and they handle their emotions quite unconventionally. These people can be quite unpredictable and independent. But as any air moon would they do really care about relating with others, and Aquarius Moons, although hard to initially tie down into a deeper friendship or relationship, once they are in such they are very loyal. Aquarius moons feel love as universal and something they can feel in many different ways, they also see it as refreshing and flourishing. When it comes to their relationship with their mother, it is often distant for Aquarius moons. Or on the other hand they could have had a mother who really pushed them academically and pushed them to be mature for their age. The more Uranian Aquarius Moons may feel most comfortable when they are socializing, while the more Saturnian Aquarius Moon may feel more comfortable in isolation when they are free to be as independent as they may please.
Pisces Moon: Pisces Moons often come to the problem of having trouble differentiating their emotions from the emotions of those around them. They’re very empathetic and compassionate, yet some may tend to make themselves a victim to their emotions. Pisces Moons are very sensitive to the environment and atmosphere around them. Pisces moons are very loving but often they see things through rose colored glasses. Pisces moons feel like love is their partner, they feel it as wonderful and it gives them life. When it comes tot their relationship with their mother a Pisces moon may not have a realistic view of her, whether that be for better or for worse. Sometimes Pisces moons can be very self-indulgent or have escapist tendencies, while other times they can be very giving and loyal or at least give off that impression.
